First Presbyterian Church is honored to be a part of Eckerd College’s 50th Anniversary! Guest Sunday School teachers from Eckerd College will be teaching all month long. We’ll continue to attend Young Life Club every other Monday at 7:45 p.m. We usually ride together to Club (5909 Pierce Dr NE) and then to McDonald’s. The teens are ready for pick-up after 9 p.m. at the McDonald’s on 62nd Ave N and 9th Street. Call Theresa for more info!

This year’s Confirmation Class is going to be very special. This is a very important step in the faith journey that is part of our theological tradition completing the promises made at baptism. We will be using a new curriculum called "Belonging to Christ" as our guide. The classes will be taught by elders and Theresa Rae Gay. Confirmation Sunday will be May 11, 2008. All eighth graders will receive a letter inviting them and their parents to participate. If you would like to attend this important class and are not an eighth grader, please contact Theresa for more information. We welcome you!

Join us as God shines through us to bring love and hard work to this deserving mission at St. Vincent DePaul Society. We’ll set up trays of desserts, sort donated food and serve lunch to the homeless. You must be 14 or older and willing to work on our team (maximum of 10). We attend Praise Service together in matching t-shirts then head over to the kitchen right after that service. After serving lunch and cleaning up, we then go out to an Italian lunch and meet back at church around 1 p.m. Reserve your spot today!

Cocoa Beach, here we come! The High School Retreat will be a weekend of fun and worship. This is a Presbytery of Tampa Bay event and promises to be great. The Praise Band from St. James will be performing! Don’t miss it! Contact Theresa NOW to reserve your spot! Deadline to reserve is
March 16th with a $50 deposit. Total cost: $150.

Save the date! We’ll be staying on 57 ft. air-conditioned sailboats as we sail the Bahamas. Part of the trip is celebrating the Bahamian Independence Day on July 10th while the rest is mission related. Please contact Theresa today if you are planning to attend.
